10 Easy Ways To Improve Your Life Today
The majority of us would all like to improve our life, but a lot of the time we believe that we are stuck and we don’t know how to change things. But improving your life is actually a lot easier than we make it out to be. We don’t need to change our life completely to improve it, you actually only need to make small daily changes to notice a big improvement. By making small but positive habits everyday will improve your life and it will be no effort at all! Keep reading for 10 easy ways to improve your life today.
1. DRINK MORE WATER
When you’re dehydrated your brain functions on less fuel making you feel drained, tired and give you mood swings, your body also needs water first thing in the morning to flush out any bad toxins.
2. BECOME A PLANT PARENT
Houseplants not only look beautiful but they are also good for your well-being. House plants reduce stress and boost your mood, and depending on what house plants you get, there are many which remove toxins from the air, making them perfect for your home too. 3. LISTEN TO PODCASTS
Listening to podcasts is such a simple, free and easy investment in your personal growth. Listening to the same songs and constantly being interrupted by adverts on the radio can get boring. Try listening to podcasts instead, there are so many inspiring and educational podcasts to choose from. Here are some of my favourite personal growth podcasts to get you started.
4. SAVE EVERY MONTH
Try to save a little bit of money every month, even if you’re not sure what you’re saving for yet. Saving money gives you peace of mind and it gives you more options and opportunities for the future.
5. WORKOUT REGULARLY
Working out regularly can massively improve your life, as it allows you to reset your mind, take care of your body and during your workout you will release endorphin’s which will make you feel happier. Sometimes I really don’t feel like working out but after I force myself to get out of the house and take care of my body, I always feel great afterwards.
6. DON’T UNDER VALUE YOURSELF
Stop criticising yourself and stop under valuing your skills, your abilities or your time. Sell your products and services at the price which they are worth and speak up in your work review if you believe you deserve a pay rise. Too many of us under value ourselves and settle for less than we are worth and less than we deserve.
7.END BAD RELATIONSHIPS
If someone is consistently bringing you down then your relationship with them is probably toxic. Remember, a relationship doesn’t have to be romantic to be toxic, if you have friends, or family or colleagues who put you down and make you feel sad then it’s time to end those relationships. You don’t deserve to have toxic people if your life, your circle should be filled with positive people who support and love you.
8. EARN A SIDE INCOME
Earning a side income will help your bank balance and boost your self esteem. I earn a side income from my blog and I feel more proud of the money I earn from blogging than I ever have as an employee. As an employee you are paid for your time, you show up and you get paid. 9. WAKE UP EARLIER
Waking up 15-30 minutes earlier every morning can have a positive impact on your life. It gives you an instant sense of accomplishment and if you wake up before the rest of the household wakes up and before you need to go to work or school, you will have time to work distraction free. 10. GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK
No one holds you to such high standards as you do but it is okay to give yourself a break. We’re all guilty of setting ourselves ridiculously high standards but when you don’t have time for self-care is when you need it the most. Give yourself permission to rest and allow yourself to re-charge, self-care can be a huge help to overcome feelings of burn out.
